Tour overview

If your desire is to enjoy a deeply immersive tour in Italy’s food and wine culture, you have found the tour you are looking for. We plan to depart from Milan (either hotel or airport) and from here we will reach the first stop: Novara. You will take an educational tour where you will learn how rice is produced and processed as well as historical techniques that date back decades. After the historical part you will go to the production and finally to the restaurant to taste a series of risottos cooked in different styles.

The next stop will be La Morra, in the Barolo area. Here you will have the opportunity to stay in a luxury bnb or, optionally, in a typical hotel in the area. We will take you to visit three Barolo wine cellars and taste their wines, we will let you live the experience of truffle hunting followed by a truffle lunch and we will let you learn and taste the local grappa (optional). the third step will take you towards Parma and the area along the Po river.

APPROXIMATE LENGHT: 8 days

Here you will learn about the history of this land, tormented by the Second World War, which was reborn thanks to the passion of the locals. You will learn to appreciate Parmigiano Reggiano and see the secrets of its production, you will taste a refined balsamic vinegar from Modena and above all you will learn about Culatello di Zibello. This product is not a simple variant of prosciutto (raw ham), it is the most noble and refined part of it. For this experience we will take you to the producer who first invented Culatello where, today, his disciple (fifth generation) has a restaurant and a production of Culatello… a unique educational experience!

Next step, we will take you to the Prosecco and Collio area where you will taste the wines and local specialties such as San Daniele ham and local cheeses. obviously you will also visit Udine and Palmanova. The tour will end in Bologna, where an expert guide will immerse you in the city known as La Grassa (the fat one) precisely because of the richness of its cuisine, its sauces and its stuffed pasta.
