The Uffizi Gallery (Galleria degli Uffizi) is the most famous of all the museums in Florence and is one of the most famous & important museums in the world. Originally built in 1560 to house the principal government offices of the State, the Uffizi Museum now contains some of the greatest treasures of the Renaissance.
